Today, one technique is “Tribalism,” Fascism/Trumpism marketed like a Division I football team.
Us vs Them, Good vs Evil, GOP vs Everyone.
There is no gray in their world, and the slightest reproach equals betrayal.
They are incapable of nuance or self-reflection, all limbic system and steroids.
It’s Identity Politics taken to its ultimate conclusion.
And it’s marketed to you no different than toothpaste, cars, or football.
Because we grew up trained to believe everything the man on TV told us, we bought their Fascism hook, line, and sinker.
If the Democrats ever get their head out of the sand, we can market our way back to a better nation, a better world.
But it’ll take the new kids on the block, Brazile, Wasserman-Schultz, et al need to go away.
It’s a new day and a new game, take the white gloves off and grab the brass knuckles… democracy depends on it.
Don’t bring logic and compassion to an ideological gun fight.
