Hemp Food vs Medibles

One issue Hemp Food companies have to manage is the consumer perception that these drug-free foods will get them high, or make them fail a drug test.

Part of the reason for that, one that was easier to address in the ‘90s, is the rise in the regulated market for “medibles,” or marijuana edibles. The size of that market in the U.S. is $2.3 billion, an order of magnitude greater than primary hemp food imports.
