This is a perfect opportunity for some enterprising visionary entrepreneur to start a virtual hemp expo.
The problem with a narrow-niche industry like hemp is that the numbers are still small, but expenses are not. The speakers you want are not willing to travel a day or two to a distant mountain town on their dime in order to make YOUR expo a success, so you’ll instead get the ones who need you more than your audience needs them. But Noobs looking for sales and credibility are always the first to sign up.
The main reason to have people attending is to keep your booth exhibitors happy, but there’s no reason a virtual hemp expo couldn’t also attract eyes, especially with a robust keyword search function.
What started as a regional farming expo in a county fair building ended up owing its 2023 venue $160,000, and saw dwindling attendance since then.
Covid would have been the perfect time to have started a virtual hemp expo, and finally see the hemp experts scattered across the globe we read about but never hear from.
